An Amusing ‘Ivorex’ Plaque by Arthur Osborne

The scene depicting ‘The Adventures of a tame Fox at the White Hart Bridgewater chased by Mr. Portman’s hounds 1799’ in which a fox has sought refuge in a fireplace and is being fiercely protected by the housewife and her cat, the hounds at bay, the plaque signed ‘AO’. The plaque deeply-recessed and mounted within dark brown velvet, decoratively framed and glazed. Approx. 12 in. by 16 _ in. Late 19th. century
